Tanya Marie (Jackson) Brown, 66, of Waynesboro, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville, Virginia.
She was born on March 26, 1958 to the late James, Sr. “Sonny” and Marie (Williams) Jackson in Waynesboro, Virginia.
She was a member of St. James Baptist Church and worked at Hershey.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Tanya is survived by her husband of 31 years, James G. Brown; one son, Samuel Williams, Jr. (Sarah); two daughters, Aimee Jones (Kynord) and Jaimee Brown; step-son, Jeremy Brown; seven grandchildren, Amari Jones, Kynord Jones, II, Kyro Jones, Megan Burton, Leah Burton, Dejhana Jones and Marquise Jones; two great grandchildren, Walker Stacy and Caroline Stacy; seven siblings, Shereba Harris, Lisa Blair, James Jackson, Jr. (Linda), Myra Diggs, Lila Brooks, Neil Jackson (Kelly), Alan Jackson, Sr. (Iva); seven brother and sisters in law, Mary Brown, Elaine Brown, Janice Brown, Ricky Brown, Michelle Vest, Sadie Vest, and Fairy Vest; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at St. James Baptist Church.
Burial will be private.
